Momma-to-be Jet | Canon D10, 28-105mm
Here's a peek at the newest member of our kitty family - Jet. She came to us as a foster from MEOW, a local no kill cat shelter. You wouldn't know it from this picture, but she's very pregnant. We expect she'll have her babies in the next couple of days. (Pray for tabbies!) In the mean time, she spends lots of the time presenting her belly for rubbing and resting under our futon.
Just in case you're interested, Jet and her soon-to-be kitties will be available for adoption through MEOW about 10 weeks after the kittens are born. They estimate Jet's about 1 year old. Email me if you want more info on her personality or how to apply for adoption.
And, finally, check back soon. I'll post pictures of the kitties when they are born!

I hesitate to say that spring has arrived lest I offend the sun gods, but the warm days and sunshine sure feel good. The cats are going nuts to say the least, demanding to be let outside at the first rays of sunshine every morning. Over the weekend they pounced around the yard and crashed through the overgrown grass like little kittens while we pulled weeds and did other garden chores.
