My name is Carry Porter. I'm married to a charming 1st-generation American named Nick. We live in Kirkland, WA with our two black cats Bentley and Vespa.

I'm a "non-traditional student" (that's what they call 30-somethings who go back to college) at Seattle University, studying law. (And before you ask, NO I don't know what kind of law I will specialize in yet.) In my previous life I was a marketing/PR exec.

This site started as a little project for sharing adventures with family and friends around the world - in England, Germany, Australia, Virginia and Woodinville. After a couple years it morphed into a blog. Is my life really interesting enough for a blog? Well, you're here aren't you?

This blog is about me, my husband and cats, motorcyling, climbing, food and wine, and whatever else comes to mind. Enjoy. Don't take anything I write too seriously; just take it seriously enough.
