Dishwasher Project, Part I
After doing a major closet renovation this summer, I successfully cleared out a cabinet next to the sink, and made way for a modern appliance upgrade. That’s right folks, Nick and I are getting a dishwasher!
Step 1 was removing the cabinet. When Keith came over to help me take it out, he asked, “How committed are you to having a dishwasher?”
“That’s a loaded question,” I answered.
“Well, I can get the cabinet out, but not in a way that it will ever go back in again,” he responded.
There was no question it was time for a dishwasher so I gave him the green light.

The cabinet doors came off painlessly and were set aside for Mike to use in his garage. Next up...the walls. These were a bit harder, owing to the construction method of the cabinet. Nothing power saws and hammers and pry bars couldn’t take care of.

And voila! A very nice hole, sized just right for a dishwasher! Sears will be delivering that on Friday!
