It started with a few flakes

We woke to snow in our yard today, but it largely melted by 10 a.m. Then, low and behold, it started snowing again around 1 p.m.! It started with just a few flakes, which looked so pretty on our holly bush.
Then it turned into a full blown blizzard. A short while after I took the picture of our street (below) it started sticking to the road.
