Steven King thinks Jenna Bush needs a good waterboarding
It seems weird to think of respecting a pop-lit author like Steven King, but when you read gems like this, how can you not love the man?
“So I said something to the ‘Nightline’ guy about waterboarding, and if the Bush administration didn’t think it was torture, they ought to do some personal investigation. Someone in the Bush family should actually be waterboarded so they could report on it to George. I said, I didn’t think he would do it, but I suggested Jenna be waterboarded and then she could talk about whether or not she thought it was torture.”

Comments:
Apparently, I disagree with the Bush administration, in that I believe that waterboarding is torture. So are stress-positions and scores of other tactics used during interogation that saves lives of American military personnel. I am in favor of any tactic other than murder that may extract vital, life-saving information from enemy combatants. However, I must admit I served a tour as a Marine grunt and ultimately retired as an Army Aviator after 22 years. Therefore, unlike most of the detached, warm, safe, dry whiners trying to preach to me on this issue, I have had and still have a close personal attachment to this issue. Does it hurt? Yeah! Is it scary? Yeah! Does it leave marks? Yeah! Might it have saved my life? Yeah! Do it!
