Our cats bring home the usual - birds, mice, and the occasional mole. Once they even managed to capture and kill a small rabbit.
I never thought (until Sunday, that is) that they would go after a snake. This one played dead very successfully. Bentley tossed it around for about a half an hour before losing interest. He went back to look for it later only to find it had slithered under a protective layer of grass near the yuccas out of his reach.

Blue Angels II

Goodness, how fast the summer has gone! Nick and I got back from a week of cycling along the Washington coast (Bellingham to Ilwaco) only to find out school that is about to start. Where did the time go?!
I’m working on downloading and editing all of the pictures from our vacation. In the mean time, here’s a nifty picture of the Blue Angels. They were in town for their annual Seafair show in early August.

Evangelical Scientists Refute Gravity with New ‘Intelligent Falling’ Theory
KANSAS CITY, KS—As the debate over the teaching of evolution in public schools continues, a new controversy over the science curriculum arose Monday in this embattled Midwestern state. Scientists from the Evangelical Center For Faith-Based Reasoning are now asserting that the long-held “theory of gravity” is flawed, and they have responded to it with a new theory of Intelligent Falling.
