Muesli v1
Here’s the recipe for the muesli I put together last night. I omitted the honey (part of the original plan) because the yogurt-juice mixture tasted sweet enough without it. I also chopped up a bit of banana for a topping this morning.
5 ounces homemade yogurt
1/2 cup cranberry pomegranate juice
7 Tbsp rolled grain mix from PCC
1 Tbsp wheat germ
2 Tbsp currents
1 Tbsp slivered almonds
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp saltNutrition info per serving: 206 Calories; 5g Fat (20.7% calories from fat); 8g Protein; 34g Carbohydrate; 3g Dietary Fiber; 4mg Cholesterol; 186mg Sodium.
The verdict? Not as tangy as we’d like. This is probably owing to the not-so-tangy homemade yogurt I used. The grains had a nice chew to them. The currants were not memorable at all. Needs more crunch. Surprisingly filling for such a small volume of food.
