The Honeymoon is Over

The honeymoon is over.

You may remember that our cats received a selection of mouse toys a while back. It was such a relief to us when they tore into these things and stopped bringing home the real thing. It seems the novelty of fake fur has worn off, because now they’re back to hunting (and devouring) wild creatures again. Vespa is the worst offender, but Bentley can be just as bad when he’s in the mood.

I think it’s only a matter of time before we come home to a bloody squirrel tail in the living room.
