UFO in Eastern Washington

image
Sunrise in eastern WA

I was doing a little pre-dawn hiking up to Ingalls pass recently with John, Laura and Anne. (We were out to climb Ingalls Peak via the east ridge.) By 7-or-so in the morning, we had climbed high enough to see the pending sunrise. The alpenglow reflecting off the hillside was amazing, so I pulled out the little Olympus point and shoot to see if I could capture it.

What I didn’t know until I looked at the picture on the computer at home was that I’d inadvertantly photographed a UFO at the same time...Or maybe it was a ghost! I mean, just look at the way it floats up and to the left, leaving a trail of light behind it as it moves!

(Please don’t send the department of mental health folks to my door. I actually do know what really caused it, but isn’t it more fun to speculate?)
