It took two illnesses in two weeks to inspire my first PostSecret.

Call me crazy, but I’m ready to admit that I actually, really enjoy a few teaspoons of cherry cough syrup before bedtime when I get a sore throat. No really.

Kids around the world have their heads pinned to green linoleum floors so their parents can funnel spoonfuls of cough syrup down their unwilling gullets. I, on the other hand, can’t get enough of that slightly acidic, sickly-sweet, burning flavor. To make the experience last, I like to fill up the emptied plastic cup with water and drink it down, savoring the sticky residue.

When I’m queen of the world, the makers of Dimetapp and Robitussin will be required to bottle this devine elixir in 750ml bottles. Why? Because it would make stocking the cellar that much easier, naturally. We’d only need one rack for all of our liquid consumables: Wine...San Pellegrino...cough syrup...mmm!
