The Tour de Suspicion...I mean France… is over this year, but the news about pro cyclists taking performance-enhancing drugs is still simmering. It got me thinking about what it must really be like to take EPO, steroids, and HGH. Are they really that effective?
Outside Magazine to the rescue with a little investigative reporting. Writer Stuart Stevens spent eight months using performance-enhancing drugs under the supervision of a doctor and wrote about the experience for the benefit of curious minds like mine.
