We have bunchkin’s

Jet finally gave birth last evening around five o'clock! We got two little kittens - a silver one with a spotty belly and a black one with a white belly, white socks on all four feet and a white stripe on its nose. A third one was born still. Jet seems to be settling in to her new roll as food machine and cuddler. She spends most of her time laying with her newborns who like to snuggle together between her front paws.

Sunrise over Kirkland

Sunrise over Kirkland | Canon 10D 28-105mm I missed posting this picture on Photo Friday a few weeks ago when the theme was atmosphere. I was packing my car to go meet Doug and Bruce for a snowshoe trip and I just happened to look up at one of the most beautiful sunrises. I quickly grabbed the camera and got off a few shots before racing to meet my friends.

Political Compass

My dad sent me a link to an interesting site today. Called the Political Compass, it dispenses with the traditional one-dimensional left-right political scale in favor of a two dimensional scale. A short quiz will show you where you fall. It only took me about 15 minutes to complete the quiz. I netted out at -0.88 on the economic scale and -3.74 on the social scale, making me a slightly left wing libertarian. Interestingly, G.W. Bush, Tony Blair and Gerhardt Schroeder are all right wing authoritarians. That explains a lot!

Still no kitties

We still have one, very pregnant Jet hanging out in our back bedroom. Look at that belly hanging down!
